authenticity, light and movement
Whether it’s architectural designs, beautiful interiors or the love of someone’s life- authenticity, light and movement are what guides my work.
MY APPROACH & career as a photographer
The gift of creating allows me to listen, to be present and inspires me to pay attention to the magic of light & human connection. Capturing raw emotion, quite honestly, there’s nothing like it. It is a privilege to get to capture & document a client’s wedding. Growing up in a very large family of Greeks, it is second nature for me to be drawn to celebrations and gatherings. Photographing a family either at home or at a reunion, I welcome chaos.
Proud to have received my bachelor’s degree of the arts in interior design architecture from The School of Design, at Mount Ida College in 2012. Photography was always a passion of mine and worked well into my major. I discovered my true talent while I continued my studies in Florence, Italy; photojournalism. This was the start of my journey in developing and mastering the tools as a photographer.
From the camera basics to lens selections, I was right out the gate drawn to the lighting techniques. This is where my studies in design and interiors came into focus with my passion.
I use natural light in all my work and use strobes when necessary, especially for interiors and subjects. It’s all about lighting and human connection for my success in producing my work. From Interiors to Clients, involving my subjects in the creative process, allows them to contribute ideas and achieve momentum for the session. This helps me to develop a deeper understanding, so then I can capture, produce and showcase their authentic brand. My images often tell a story through the subject’s pose, wardrobe, or their surrounding environment.
